The Role

Reporting to the Team Manager – HazMat, the HazMat Consultant will deliver a wide range of services to our clients, such as asbestos and hazardous materials inspections, air monitoring and risk reporting. This role will be supported by a team of high-performing technical experts. We are more than happy to consider anyone who has some experience and knowledge of Asbestos, as on the job training to become a licensed Asbestos Assessor will be provided and we would also support flexible work hours and part time for the right candidate.

This role will see you participating in the following (remember though, if you don't currently have experience we will train you and buddy you up, until you have the skills to go it alone):

  • Conducting Asbestos / Hazmat audits in a wide range of locations, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities and residential properties.
  • Conducting airborne fibre monitoring during Asbestos / Hazmat remediation projects.
  • Compiling technical reports detailing Asbestos / Hazmat investigation results to provide prioritised and practicable recommendations.

About you

Ideally, you are a seasoned Asbestos / HazMat Consultant with experience in conducting asbestos and hazardous materials inspections, airborne fibre monitoring and preparation of asbestos and HazMat reports. But if you aren't, don't worry! We encourage you to apply if you have experience as an Asbestos Removalist/Labourer and are looking to advance your career and become an Asbestos Licensed Assessor. Alternatively, you may have experience as a construction labourer and want to build on these skills.

  • Able to undertake field, lab and office work.
  • Valid driver’s licence (mandatory)
  • Able to travel for work (occasional regional work is required).
  • Have flexibility for some out-of-hours and weekend work (3 weekends per annum).
  • Able to wear fitted disposable and half-face respiratory protective equipment.
